Seamlessly integrate Freshdesk with Jira (Cloud and on-premise) using the advanced Atlassian Jira Plus app. Enable effortless collaboration between support agents and engineers by synchronizing data, prioritizing issues, and keeping all stakeholders updated.

1. Install the Jira Plus App in Freshdesk
- Log in to Freshdesk as an admin.
- Navigate to the Marketplace Apps section and search for the Jira Plus app.
- Click Install and follow the configuration steps:
- Enter your Freshdesk URL and API key for authentication.
- Provide your Jira URL, admin email, and Jira API.
2. Configure Jira Fields in Freshdesk
- Map Freshdesk fields (e.g., Source, Group, Customer Name) to custom Jira text fields.
- Define tags to be added to Freshdesk tickets when Jira issues are created or linked.
- Set up status and priority mappings between Freshdesk and Jira.
3. Firewall Configuration
- Whitelist the required IPs for your region to ensure connection. Include the Public NAT IP (18.215.103.250) for attachment handling. Use port range 1024–65535 or default settings.
4. Sync Settings
In Freshdesk, configure global sync options for statuses, priorities, comments, and attachments.
5. Install Freshdesk for Jira in Jira
- Navigate to the Atlassian Marketplace and search for the Freshdesk app.
- Install the app, then enter your Freshdesk domain and API key to connect.
- Configure the Freshdesk fields you want to display within the app.
Key Notes:
- Supports Jira cloud and on-premise versions 7.0 and above.
- The Primary Jira issue is the first Jira issue linked to a Freshdesk ticket.
- Inline images in ticket descriptions (up to 10 MB) are synced to Jira issues.
