If your organization uses Azure Active Directory as the single source of truth for user information, you would prefer to have all your users available inside Freshservice, along with their profile information. Azure AD Provisioning uses the SCIM standard to synchronize users and custom attributes from AAD with Freshservice.
Once a user is assigned on AAD, the requester/agent gets created on Freshservice based on AAD's SCIM synchronization frequency. Profile changes made to the user on AAD will be replicated on Freshservice periodically.
The following fields are synchronized from AAD to Freshservice by default. The field names to the left are AAD default fields and the fields to right are Freshservice default fields.
* Given Name -> First Name
* Family Name -> Last Name
* Primary Email -> email
* Title -> Job Title
* Primary Work Phone -> Work Phone Number
* Mobile Phone -> Mobile Phone Number
* Complete Work Address -> Address
* Locale -> Language
* Timezone -> Timezone
* Department -> Department
* Manager -> Reporting Manager
This installation requires that you also install an app on your AAD account. Please click on the âInstructionsâ tab and follow them carefully.
This app helps to add all users from Azure (Office 365), But for custom fields of requester need to add syntax when i reach to support tam they helped me immediately. Suggested to keep some common Syntax (for custom fields) in app description or some where easily accessible.

Great app, works perfectly for us, we had one issue with the manager syncing, but a quick email to support resolved it fast!

I'm happy with this Microsoft app. I did learn that you need to create custom strings if you want to see more user information then what they offer. You can use this URN in Azure: urn:ietf:params:scim:schemas:extension:freshservice:2.0:User:<CUSTOM_FIELD>
Make your custom field in FreshService. Stop the provisioning in Azure. Add a new mapping (in the advanced section) in Azure with the above URN while changing custom_field to what you require. Add another mapping and link them together. So if you want the address, the source attribute is streetAddress, and your target attribute is the URN you just created in the advanced section. After you save it, use Provision on Demand to test it, and if all work, turn your provisioning back on. Hope this help everyone!
Please go through the instructions carefully since the integration has to be configured on both Freshservice and Azure Active Directory.
