1. After completing the Freshdesk validation, choose the necessary contact field for identifying duplicate contacts 2. Navigate to the Freshdesk ticket page, where the app will be placed on the sidebar 3. Initiate the sidebar app by clicking on it. It will then display a list of duplicate contacts based on the pre-configured field. 4. Then click the “Load More” button to view the complete list of duplicate contacts, click on a contact's name 5. Click the contact's name. Select the primary email address that should be retained for the merged contact. 6. A mobile number is mandatory for merging the contacts. 7. Then click the Merge Contacts button. The contacts will merge. 8. Then open the primary contact, and the merged contact email will be updated on the contact. 9. To ensure the updates are correctly replicated on contacts and tickets, perform a hard refresh
Click on the Settings icon in Freshdesk, then navigate to the Settings page. Search for "apps." Enter the Marketplace and search for an app named "Merge Contact." Click to install the app. Enter a valid domain and API key, then click the install button. Next, open the app and configure the required contact fields. Now, when you open a ticket, the app will be listed on the right side of the ticket. The duplicate contacts are listed based on configured contact fields Click the "Load More" button to view all the list of duplicate contacts. Then Click the contact name to merge the contact.
