if you are only looking to have the RC widget within Freshdesk then this is for you.
If you turn on ticket creation and call attending it creates a new ticket for every single phone call - this renders this app useless for our needs. Call details will not append to an existing ticket.
Prerequisites
You must have an active RingCentral account with relevant agent licenses.
Installation Steps
1) Install the App:
From the Freshdesk Marketplace, install the RingCentral app.
2) Provide Configuration Details:
- Enter your Freshdesk API Key.
- Create a RingCentral JSON Web Token from the RingCentral admin dashboard and enter it on the installation screen.
- Enter your Freshdesk Domain.
- Select the field name for Call ID (required for call tracking).
- Configure when tickets should be created and click Save.
Set Up the Widget:
- Click the RingCentral icon in the left sidebar to load the widget.
- Sign in using your RingCentral credentials.
- Choose your Digital Line Number and click I Accept.
Your RingCentral integration is now configured and ready to use!
