This app is developed to support HIPAA compliance by protecting sensitive information in Freshdesk tickets. When a ticket is created, or a note is added, the app automatically masks sensitive data such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, phone numbers, emails, dates, URLs, and IP addresses with asterisks (*).
Key Details:
When Masking Occurs: Data is masked only during ticket or note creation. It does not apply to edits made to ticket descriptions/subjects or notes.

This app ensures compliance by safeguarding sensitive information, preventing unintended exposure while maintaining data privacy.
To install the app, provide the following information:
1) Freshdesk Subdomain
Enter the subdomain of your Freshdesk account.
Example: For support.freshdesk.com, input only support.
2) Agent API Key
Provide the API Key of an agent.
Note: All masking updates made by the app will appear under this agent’s name.
Once these details are entered, the app will be ready to use, ensuring that sensitive data in tickets and notes is masked automatically.
