Business leaders need to recognize it is on them to create a more harmonious, less cluttered digital experience for employees, says Prasad Ramakrishnan, Freshworks’ senior vice president of IT and chief information officer.
It starts with understanding that business software, like the best applications for personal use, must be intuitive. “When was the last time you picked up a user manual to figure out how to use anything at home, whether your TV or your smartphone?” he says. “Employees expect that same easy user experience at work.”
